The MOVCAM FX9 : BASE KIT is includes a shoulder-mount baseplate, power distribution box, top plate, side bracket, and 9" dovetail plate. The baseplate features a small VCT-14 adapter plate that supports optional VCT-14 plates, which secure to the front of the baseplate and a hook slot on the rear, behind the shoulder pad. When the compact VCT-14 adapter is removed, the baseplate can be attached directly to the included dovetail plate. The distribution box provides a V-mount plate, 4-pin XLR input for running power to the camera, and two each D-Tap and 2-pin LEMO connectors for accessories.

The kit offers 15mm LWS rod support on the top, front, and rear, a removable rosette mount for handgrips, and a second rosette on the side bracket for attaching the Sony stock handle closer to the rear of the rig. A lens mount support is provided on the front for 1/4"-20 threaded adapters. Between all the different locations, you also get multiple 1/4"-20 mounting threads and ARRI Accessory Mounts.

Movcam Baseplate for Sony FX9 with Shoulder Pad and VCT-14 Adapter

The Movcam Baseplate for Sony FX9 features an integrated no-play rubber shoulder pad and front and rear 15mm LWS rod support. An included VCT-14 adapter plate attaches to the bottom front to support optional VCT-14 plates, which secure to a hook on the rear rod bracket. When the compact VCT-14 adapter is removed, the baseplate can be attached directly to optional dovetail plates, such as the Movcam Universal Dovetail Plate, for compatibility with ARRI BP-8 bridge plates. A rosette mount for handgrips is provided on the left side and a 1/4"-20 lens screw on the front.

Movcam Distributor Box for Sony FX9 (V-Mount)

The V-mount Distributor Box for Sony FX9 from Movcam features both a Gold mount plate and a 4-pin XLR port for powering the camera. Either can be used, as you find most appropriate. Attaching to the back of the camera, the Distributor Box delivers 19.5V to the camera. The XLR port delivers 19.5V directly. When using a Gold mount battery, the battery's output is converted to 19.5V.

The V-mount Distributor Box features two 12V D-Tap ports, two 14.4V 2-pin LEMO ports, and the above-mentioned 4-pin XLR DC input, which is on the bottom rear of the unit, right under the battery plate.

Movcam Side Bracket for Sony PXW-FX9

Add a side plate to your Sony PXW-FX9 camera for mounting accessories with this Side Bracket from MOVCAM. The plate mounts directly onto the camera using the included captive screws, and it wraps around the side and the top.

It features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 ARRI-style anti-twist accessory mounts to add a variety of accessories such as extension arms, a top handle, a monitor mount, a microphone, or a light. There is also an ARRI-style rosette on the side to add a rosette accessory or relocate the original FX9 handgrip toward the rear of the camera.

Movcam FX9 Top Plate

The Movcam FX9 Top Plate mounts onto the top of your Sony FX9 camera and works with your camera's top handle. The Top Plate features numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes. The 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes feature ARRI-compatible anti-twist divots, so you can use ARRI anti-twist compatible accessories, as well as standard 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded accessories. An integrated 15mm rod clamp enables mounting 15mm rods to the top of your camera, above the lens port for mounting accessories such as an optional EVF, monitor, or lens accessories.

Captive mounting screws simplify attaching and removing the plate as you need, without worrying about misplacing the mounting screws. In addition to the accessory mounting holes, the plate is also machined to accept the clamp that secures the LCD viewfinder monitor cable. The plate is drilled and tapped to accept your camera's sensor plane marking pin, for accurately measuring by tape.
