The shipping cost of your order is estimated upon checkout. The fee is generally R150 within South Africa for orders that are under R5 000. For orders above R5 000, shipping is free within South Africa.
Shipping times are generally:
Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs and import duties into South Africa. Although shipping includes insurance, the package/s will be dispatched at your own risk. However, due to the nature of the items being purchased, special care is taken to protect fragile objects. Boxes are amply sized by either the manufacturer or by the staff of Pro Gear SA, and your items are well-protected.
The estimation is performed according to the weight of items (the larger of either physical or volumetric), where the item originates, and is calculated live to get the best rates possible. Shipping items are bundled together per supplier, where possible, in order to save on shipping costs. (We have negotiated discount rates with shipping companies).
We deliver orders anywhere in South Africa. Should you be outside of South Africa, we can still arrange delivery to you. Please contact us directly before placing your order, so we can confirm shopping costs.
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Debit and Credit cards, as well as Instant EFT (SID). All our payments are secure and handled by Paygate and FNB. We have negotiated a merchant account in order to keep these costs as low as possible. Another option is for you to handle your own bank EFT transfer, as this will carry an even lower processing fee. (Place an order, receive your invoice and pay it using the order number as a reference). Orders will only be processed once the funds are reflected in Pro Gear SA's account.
Pro Gear SA does not directly offer financing for any of the products available on our website. However, we know that professional gear can be expensive. That's why we've teamed up with South Africa's top finance providers, so you can get the gear you need today and get your production started. OppCam Universal Monitor Mount System (UMMS) is not a yoke, nor is it a typical VESA Mount. It is a new, secure and smart way to mount a monitor onto a stand.
Nearly all HD monitors today support VESA mounting. The full mouthful of the name is VESA FDMI—Video Electronics Standards Association Flat Display Mounting Interface. It’s a consumer electronics standard consisting of four tapped holes on the back of the monitor and a bracket. That’s how the TV is usually attached, rather inelegantly, to the wall in many hotel rooms.
VESA mounts have typically been used to mount production monitors on set and on location. However, with previous systems, the monitor was rarely balanced in line with the stand. It was usually hanging out off-center. One wrong move, one kick of a leg, and the entire rig could topple over. Goodbye expensive monitor.
Enter the OppCam UMMS. Monitors in the 15-25” range have either a VESA 75mm or 100mm mounting layout. The OppCam UMMS mounts the monitor in line over the stand (baby 5/8” or junior 1-1/8”). Because the monitor is in line with the stand, it is an inherently stable set up.
There are several advantages to the OppCam UMMS.
Oppenheimer Camera Products of Seattle (OppCam) has been manufacturing innovative accessories for the film and digital production industry since 1992. Since 2004, they have been making Monitor Yoke Mounts. They currently produce Yoke Mounts for monitors from Panasonic, Sony, TV Logic, Flanders, Small HD, Marshall and others.
Note that Yoke Mounts usually fit only one particular model. The new OppCam UMMS is universal, like the name says. One mount fits most monitors.
