Wilec, a division of ACTOM (Pty) Ltd, is Africa’s largest manufacturer and supplier of input materials and technical solutions to the electric rotating machine, transformer and general industries.

The division was established in 1953 and has continually evolved to keep pace with changing market trends. There are 3 operating divisions:

• Electrical, serving predominantly the motor, generator and transformer industries with conductor, insulating materials and complementary products
• Mechanical, providing bearings and ancillary products for motors and general industry; and
• Industrial, servicing the DIY, hardware and graphics industries with adhesive tapes and specialty films.

We serve a diverse range of industries with over 6000 products stocked in 5 major Distribution Centres nationally.

Our team of technical specialists ensures that customers not only have up to date technical support, but also have access to the latest technology developments in their specific fields, due to strong links with leading global brands.

Wilec is totally committed to the constant expansion and upgrading of its product range to meet the challenges of a dynamic market. The Head Office and main distribution centre is situated in City Deep, Johannesburg, with the conductor manufacturing site in Olifantsfontein, Midrand. Further stocking and distribution centres are in Durban, Cape Town, and Middelburg. State of the art logistic and IT systems ensure the highest levels of service in getting the right product to our customers, on time. All sites are ISO9001:2008 certified, and is Level 3 BBBEE accredited.
